New unit – Stage 2

This unit focuses on three areas.

[1] Securing the ability to read times on analogue clock faces

[2] Developing a deep understanding of 2D shape

[3] Creating and continuing arithmetic number sequences


The work on 2D shape includes composing and decomposing 2D shapes. The ability to compose and decompose shapes is a fundamental geometric skill that involves building more complex figures from simpler ones and breaking down larger shapes into their constituent parts. This skill is a building block for advanced mathematical concepts.


There are eight sets of slides covering each of the three areas.
